“ After visiting the tasting room we decided to stop at the delicatessen right next door. What a perfect spot to enjoy lunch and a few glasses of champagne and/or mimosas. This deli had a fantastic menu, sweet treats galore, cheeses, chips, sandwiches... you name it. We easily over ate and it wasn't hard to do so. Everything was fresh, indoor and outdoor patio seating with heaters to keep the chill away. You are more than welcomed to bring your tastings from next door over to the café, or order a few tasty mimosas here. Our sandwiches were delicious, on fresh bread and definitely enough to share, but we didn't. We ordered one beef, one turkey with a side of pasta salad and a yummy chocolate chip cookie. Service was quick, friendly and the young lady was helpful and patient with us as we were indecisive on what we wanted to order. After our stop here we sure wished that all wineries had a café with light bites or an extensive menu like this one. We were pleasantly surprised and highly recommend a stop here, especially after a nearby hike or just for a romantic one on one. Cheers! ”

“ I had heard rave reviews about the Korbel Deli, so we made this our lunch stop after arriving in town for the weekend. They have a nice selection of sandwiches, salads, meats and cheeses, and a cold case with assorted pasta and veggie salad blends. We got the winemaker and legacy sandwiches to share. Both were great in their own ways, one cool and refreshing, the other hearty and warm. I'd be happy to order either one again. We also got some of their broccoli salad to take back to camp with us for dinner that night. Hadn't had a broccoli salad like this before and really enjoyed it! The sandwiches were solid, but even better was the serenity of the outdoor patio. They have seating inside and out, but you'd be wrong to skip the outdoor deck/patio surrounded by redwood trees. We snagged one of the last spots on a Friday afternoon at lunch time. Lots of people were sitting out there enjoying their lunches and a glass or bottle of bubbles. ”

“ Been living in Sonoma County for almost 30 years, and today for the first time, we visited Korbel. The deli is fantastic! Lots of sandwiches and salads to choose from and they are huge! I had the chicken salad with grapes and it was scrumptious! Hubby had the tri-tip on a sourdough roll and a caramel mimosa that he loved as well. Outdoor seating, by the redwoods makes for a perfect lunch spot! ”

“ I must be honest and say that I NEVER go for Korbel in the store but this experience changed my mind, We came here after a hike and they were closing in like 20 minutes. When we went in they were super friendly and accommodating. You get one small complimentary glass and then can order other glasses. We ordered a few more glasses to taste a few and ended up buying bottles to go. The champagnes were delicious too! You could taste the quality, They have a chart on the counter that helps you decide by having the champagne range from dry to sweet. It is nice inside and they have a very relaxing outside area which is where we sat. They are also pet friendly and have vegetarian options at the deli. We didn't get to eat there but will be back because the food looks good too! ”

“ The place is off to the side of the Tasting room (where you stop first to pick up your co plume tart glass of Champaign) and then you head here to get your sandwiches or other goodies. We got some salami and goat cheese and a box of crackers to munch on... But the sandwiches came out super fast! Still the salami and cheese helped us as we ate along. We took our food to the outside terrace for some atmosphere and music, they have tables set up there just for that. We got the Winemaker which had roast turkey and white cheddar a cranberry chutney and red onion , and a gardener that was a mozzarella and tomato with tons of balsamic: both sandwiches were BIG. I forgot to take a full picture: what you see here is half! This is a cute delicatessen where you order at the register, pay there and then they take your food outside where you can leisurely eat at your pace. Had a very nice and relaxing time here! The tasting room next door offers tastings for $25 per person which is a great price nowadays. Enjoy! ”

“ My wife and I have recently relocated to nearby Sea Ranch and it was a little overcast for a beach day so we headed over to Guernville, CA to check out the area, visit some galleries and we had some excellent ice cream in town but not as many great late lunch options. We had heard from the Mendo Foodies site that the Korbel Deli was an excellent place for a high quality and well priced Sammie or salad so we drove over and managed to grab a late lunch before they closed at 4 PM. We both got the "Legacy" Sammie - a warm tri tip steak sandwich on fresh Dutch crunch and it was a wonderfully delicious meal. They use very fresh bread and unlike much of the Dutch crunch we've eaten all these years in the Bay Area this bread was a revelation ! The tri tip was a decent sized portion of steak and it was topped with Gorgonzola cheese and sautéed onions for a well rounded Sammie and for a fairly priced $15/each. We wandered over to the tasting room next door and got some bubbly and with some cups of cold ice water enjoyed the scenery and the patio deck of this beautiful historic winery ! You can look out at the rows of wine grapes across the road while eating and drinking which was lovely. They apparently grow grapes used for their Chardonnay and Pinot in the immediate area. We will definitely be back when passing through to Santa Rosa etc and we also plan to tour the historical caves next visit ! Well done Korbel and glad we are "locals",...sort of. We will be back when tourist season subsides for more great food and a proper wine tasting and tour of the champagne caves. Cheers !! ”

“ I heard about the lore of the Korbel deli the entire time I was in Sonoma and I made it there before I left! Wow people were not lying. It definitely gets busy during lunch hours and you can tell it's a local favorite - the entire fire department was there when I stopped by. I had a delicious and well-crafted sandwich on the beautiful patio. My friends and I enjoyed the entire meal - don't skip the Dutch crunch bread! We heard they're famous for the chicken salad so we grabbed a pint to-go. It definitely lived up to the hype. Fresh, made with care, and full of flavor. The chicken was so moist it left me wondering how they cooked it. Definitely stop by if you're in the area. ”

“ I can't say enough about the deli portion of Korbel. On a beautiful day, you cannot go wrong here. From the sandwiches to the salads, different bottles of champagne's, amazing view and amazing staff...this is a win win. I may be bias because this is 10 minutes from my house and I frequent here...I also don't think so. It's a gem. Enjoy. ”

“ I've passed by here for years while heading up to the Russian River and always wondered how it would be. Finally stopped in yesterday and had a late lunch en route to Guerneville. The menu is simple artisan sandwiches, salads, a soup of the day and a modest deli case. If you opt to eat there, seating is outdoor only but heat lamps kept it cozy on a December afternoon. Service was friendly and the food arrived quick. I got the gardener sandwich (basically a caprese but had some extra greens) and my boyfriend and I split some potato salad. It was all very fresh and tasty. Really enjoyed the brick patio area, which I imagine would get busy on warmer summer river days. Overall, it's a shame I only just made a point to grab lunch here after all these years and will definitely try to come back. ”
